“Hootiful” Cards with Heffy Doodle Owls (Blog Hop & Giveaway)

Hi there and welcome!

Today I am very excited to be part of the Heffy Doodle Blog Hop celebrating their new, 5th release!

I made two cards with the super cute owls from the “Hootiful” stamp set and also used their new double (inside and outside the cutting line) stitched rectangle dies to create sort of a window frame for my basic scenes.

The rectangle dies from Heffy Doodle that I am using are also in EU size! The largest cut stitched rectangle fully covers an A6 (EU standard size) card front. Therefore it measures approximately 10,5 x 14,8 cm. I have not seen a rectangle die like this before, very useful for us European crafters! 😀

MY “HOOTIFUL” BIRTHDAY CARD

For my first card I used the UnbeLEAFable stencil together with some acrylic paste and Distress Ink for the background as well as the Happy die for my sentiment. The owls are stamped, colored with Copics and die cut with the coordinating dies.

SECOND CARD: OWLS & LUCKY STARS

For my second card I used the new Starfall stencil over dark blue cardstock. Then I added the moon and some extra stars from the Hootiful stamp set and heat embossed them in gold. The moon and heart are also filled with a hint of glitter from a Wink Of Stella pen. I used a bit of masking paper to place two owls next to each other on the branch making it look as if one is hugging the other (at least that’s what I was going for lol). Then I fussy cut around the masked images with my Cutter Bee scissors.
