Altenew – Gift Set using Washi Tape

Hello everyone,

and happy December!! It’s quite cold here and we even had some snow flakes today! Nonetheless, my project for today is full of blooming flowers! Are you up for it?

I had this see-through box from an old packaging laying around for some time and turned it into a gift box a week ago using Altenew Washi Tape! Super easy.

I also made a set of cards with a matching look to put into the box and give to one of my non-cardmaking friends. I hope you like it. 🙂

Here’s the finished box with cards inside:

The box before I made it pretty 😉

And three cards with matching envelopes that I made the box for:

Some details about my cards:

  • I decorated all envelopes with the same Washi tape as on the cards and gift box.
  • Card 1 was inspired by Altenew’s Diamond Frame die! I used the striped narrow Washi to recreate that look.
  • On card 2 I used colored linen cardstock and covered that with Washi. It gives a different and textured look that I really like!
  • On card 3 I added strips of cardstock in colors that matched the floral Washi for a different look that still is pleasing to the eye.
  • I used either foam tape or stacked-up die-cuts for dimension.

All supplies are listed below.

I made this gift set for Altenew‘s current Washi Tape contest and I hope it will inspire you to get out your Washi Tape. 🙂

xx, Rosali

Altenew dies – Script Words

Altenew stamps – Label Love German, Sketchy Cities Abroad

Altenew – Bloom with Pigment Inks

Hi friends,

I am just quickly dropping in on this Sunday to share a card I made using my new pigment inks from Altenew! Here’s my finished design:

I started by using the Dalia Stencil A and stenciling some Coral Berry ink onto the dark blue card base. I stamped the layered blossom from Bloom & Bud in three pigment inks (all names are listed below). Then I arranged some die-cut branches, strip of vellum and the blossom using foam tape.

What I like about pigment inks that I used on my card:

1. inkblending on dark cardstock really shows up

2. stamping on vellum and heat embossing it

I made this card for Altenew‘s Pigment Ink contest and I hope you‘ll like it!

Have an amazing week ahead!

Xx,

Rosali

Mini Advent Calendar 2020 (Blog Hop)

Hello friends!

Today I am happy to be part of a little blog hop! A couple of German crafters have been doing a “Secret Santa” swap of mini advent calendars and today we are all gonna show you what we made! A big thank you to Birka for organizing this again!! 🙂

If you are hopping along, you should be arriving from Janine aka Ellabella. She made such a cute advent calendar for me with Mama Elephant stamps!! I was very happy when I got it and it arrived super early so I have been enjoying it for a couple of weeks already!  ❤

AND the kittens have mostly left it alone (they usual chew on everything), so yay! 😉

For the calendar that I made I chose a BUNCH of Lawn Fawn critters and dies as well as “Layered Snowflakes” Die-namics from MFT Stamps. If you place all 6 boxes next to each other you kind of get a continuous scene. I got to send my calendar to Katrin (your next stop!) and I really hope she likes it!! 🙂

HERE’S MY ADVENT CALENDAR!

I also made a matching card to go along with my advent calendar which I have already posted here! I used the same color scheme as for the mini calendar. Since Katrin and I both own cats I knew I wanted to send her something kitten-related. 😀

Here’s the full hop list again:

Have an amazing Sunday! ♥
