4 Cards With Blue Backgrounds

Hello and happy Sunday!

It’s all grey and rainy here today … Which makes it a perfect day for crafting and blogging! 😀

I made a couple of cards over the last days and it turned out they all have dark blue on the backgrounds! It wasn’t planned – I guess I just felt like using blue. Two cards mimic a blue background as water, the other two use blue to create a wintery wood scene.

Yes, a Christmas card in February! 😀 During winter I sometimes still feel like making Christmas cards – and you can NEVER have too many of them!!

For the watercolor background I used a large round brush (no. 10) and these watercolor paints (applied in two layers):

  • Mijello Mission Gold – Cobalt Blue No. 1
  • Schmincke – Cobalt Turquoise
  • Mijello Mission Gold – Burnt Umber

  1. All of your cards are fantastic. Your inking and designs are just wonderful. Your Less Is More/Addicted to CAS entry is just adorable. Those little love birds are so bright and cheerful – your coloring and shading is perfect. I really love the hand drawn frame around the aperture. Thanks for playing with us at Less Is More and Addicted To CAS. This beauty is perfect for both challenges!
